We had just finished producing the Your Fellow Americans series for Kansas City PBS (KCPT), so when they received $850,000 for a similar project they brought Brainroot on to be Series Producer. We worked with the station to get the project up-and-running, providing critical branding and narrative guidance. We helped on-board four other PBS-Member Stations who would also be producing videos for the series and held editorial responsibility over their production process. We oversaw community engagement initiatives at ten participating stations. We also produced eight local (KC) micro-documentaries for the station (two of our favorites are at the bottom of this page).

about the Re:Dream Project:

Re:Dream is an immersive, digital-first project taking a look at what it means to “make it” in the 21st century. Forty micro-documentaries from five different cities tell the stories of individuals as they prepare for success, meet obstacles, and pursue their American dream. The nationwide project, led by Kansas City Public Television (KCPT), is produced by fifteen PBS member stations. Re:Dream aims to bolster community dialogue around the changing landscape of available opportunities in the 21st century economy.
